Faversham's Arden Theatre is a 100 seat modern studio theatre with a diverse year round programme.
The theatre is named after Thomas Arden, a Faversham resident in the time of Henry VIII, who made himself very unpopular and was murdered by his wife’s lover – the subject of an Elizabethan play thought to be attributed to Thomas Kyd, Christopher Marlowe and William Shakespeare, solely or collaboratively, forming part of the Shakespeare Apocrypha.
