Helen Heckety is a disabled writer living in Faversham. She has performed spoken word/alternative comedy shows, wrote poetry and worked in a library. Her debut collection of poetry, The Underlook, was published in 2021. Alter Ego is her debut novel.

Chloe Timms is a writer from the Kent coast, author of The Seawomen. Chloe is passionate about disability rights, having been diagnosed with the condition Spinal Muscular Atrophy at 18 months old, and has campaigned on a number of crucial issues.
