The Kent author of On the Marshes talks about her work as leader of a ragtag team of countryside conservation volunteers. With host Clair Meyrick.
Carol is an ecological advisor and has appeared on radio and television talking about nature, wilderness and the marshes. She has run the North Kent Breeding Wader Project on behalf of the RSPB since 2015 and works with farmers in Kent and Essex advising on restoring wetlands for waders, also working as ecological advisor specialising in river restoration and natural flood management. She has worked in the Canadian Arctic and on a wolf rehabilitation project in Russia.
